Responsible to:

  • Committee Chair

Purpose:

  • To support First Denver Friends Church’s ministry statement for Little Friends Child Care Center through unceasing prayer, helping make new families that visit our church feel welcome, supporting our child care center staff, and investing time to share the Word of God and the Love of Jesus with the children and families of Little Friends Child Care Center.

Responsibilities:

  • Is a consistent witness for Christ

  • Pray for the work of Little Friends Child Care Center; its staff, children and families

  • Attend board meetings

  • Review action plan for center director

  • Promote Little Friends Child Care Center as a mission of First Denver Friends Church

  • Promote combined church and Little Friends Child Care Center activities

  • Support Little Friends Child Care Center families (parenting classes, food bank, counseling, etc.)

  • Review and adjust the goals and finances of Little Friends Child Care Center

  • Help with accreditation process

Time Commitment:

  • Attend 2-hour meetings every other month, plus time required promoting or organizing selected ministry areas.

Length of Commitment:

  • Minimum of 2 years. (Maximum of 6 consecutive years).

Training:

  • No special training required.

Special Qualifications:

  • A love of children, a heart for reaching our neighborhood and a commitment to helping fulfill God’s plan for Little Friends Child Care Center.

  • Experiencing with teaching, child care centers, or business management also a plus.
