Mission Statement:

  • MDC exists to identify, develop, and support ministry, ministry potential, and leadership potential in members of the FDFC congregation with God’s direction by providing:

  • Gift assessment

  • Education: the responsibility of the believer to serve

  • Training

  • Encouragement in ministry

  • Recruitment of volunteers for ministry

  • Recommendations of church officers and committee members on an ongoing basis.

Sample Activities:

  • Committee Appreciation Lunch, Nominating, Barney Awards

Committee Member Responsibilities:

  • Is a consistent witness for Christ.

  • Pray for the work of the committee.

  • Attend monthly meetings.

  • Help recruit and screen potential committee members.

  • Help with other committee activities.

Time Commitment:

  • Approximately 3 hours per month (2 hour meetings monthly, plus any assignments). Additional meetings and time required in the fall for nominating activities.

Length of Commitment:

  • One or two years (Maximum of 6 consecutive years).

Training:

  • No special training required

Special Qualifications:

  • Must be a member of FDFC.

Familiarity with a variety of people attending FDFC a help.
