Responsible to:

  • RMYM Representatives Chair, other FDFC representatives and RMYM.

Committee Description:

  • As a group, we represent FDFC to RMYM, but as representatives, we are the Yearly Meeting (YM). This is different than a "regular" FDFC committee since there is responsibility to two entities.

Relates closely with:

  • Other FDFC representatives and YM representatives from other meetings in RMYM

Purpose:

  • Help shape, communicate, and implement RMYM vision.

  • Representatives must approve all business items at YM.

Activities:

  • Attend YM

  • Sometimes attend Mid-year boards which are usually in November, a Friday afternoon/evening to Saturday lunch

  • Consider being a member of a YM committee

  • Be part of the deliberating body of RMYM

Responsibilities:

  • Meet throughout the year as needed.

  • Attend YM sessions usually Thurs to Sun the first or second weekend in June. (required)

  • Report back to FDFC actions taken and vision created

  • Nominate members of FDFC to various YM committees.

  • Fully participate in the YM process

  • Prayer for RMYM

Time Commitment:

  • Three to four meetings of 1 to 3 hours each over the course of a year.

  • Attend YM sessions - 4 days (at own expense)

Length of Commitment:

  • Terms are one year (no limit on the number of terms)

Training:

  • Attend a YM session.

  • Read Faith and Practice.

Special Qualifications:

  • Must be a member of FDFC

  • Must be invested in both FDFC and RMYM
